Peter Matra was born and raised in Brewster, New York, and spent part of his life in New York City. He has had a camera in his hands since he was a toddler. He attended New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and got his degree in Asian studies and photography. Peter has worked with well-known photographers such as Bruce Weber, Fabien Baron, and Rainer Hosch for magazines like Vogue, W, GQ, and Oprah. Peter was co-creator and designer of aWanted magazine. He has traveled several times to China to work with artists through New York University. He was also Assistant Photo Editor for Interview Magazine.
